Description
The iLDR was originally developed as a single-point high focus and high range positioning sensor for automating shotcrete machines. With its high measurement rate of 1600 Hz, it is able to detect objects at a distance of up to 400 m and, coupled with a parabolic antenna, at up to 1000 m. By now, four iLDR variants are available that enable different applications from the original position measurements to various applications in steel production. The USP of this sensor is its usability in high dust concentrations (e.g. in reclaimer surge bins) and in fumes and smokey atmospheres (steel production, tundish level etc).
