The indurad GmbH develops individual solutions under consideration of established operation procedures and economic frameworks. The company was originally founded as a spin-off of the RWTH Aachen's mining technology institute IMR. indurad disposes over an extensive high-tech network comprising universities, industrial research institutes and microwave component manufacturers.
Our Base: Robust Radar Technology
One of our key components is a high performance radar module, developed by several hundred engineers over many years. Robust integration of all components as well as a real-time and accurate signal processing software were the premises in creating our own mining-industry-proof product.
Our success is based on extensive know-how in microwave engineering, wave propagation, pattern recognition, embedded system and project- and application know how.We have demonstrated our expertise and reliability successfully in several turn-key projects and experimental studies, both in surface and underground mines as well as in projects with plant and machinery manufacturers.
Automation And Safety
indurad develops efficient sensor solutions for applications on production machines and haulage systems. We develop our solutions individually for the mining industry, plant engineers or OEMs. We are the only supplier to manufacture, use and integrate efficient, compact and robust industrial 2D Radar sensors. Our solutions cover the areas of collision avoidance, machine positioning and 2D/3D inventory and level control.
Individual Multi Sensor Concepts
Solutions are at the center of our attention. Therefore, we also integrate laser scanners, passive RFID and infrared sensor system whenever. Our experience has shown that multi-sensor concepts of this type tend to increase the total availability of any solution and also offer additional information.

indurad employs experts from the mining and raw material technology, automatic control engineering, computer science, electro-technology as well as high-frequency and signal processing engineers.
In 2007, indurad was awarded with the first price in the well known Cologne NUK business plan contest for own innovative solutions and business approach.
Social Responsibility
indurad is a member of the Karlsverein Aachen, an NGO committed to maintaining the "Aachen Cathedral of Charlemagne". In 1978, the Aachen cathedral became the third entry in the UNESCO world heritage list.
